RR Tidbits

This series reflects the inner thoughts of Rudra Pratap Ranawat in the episode leading to the famous eight pherewala marriage.

RR Tidbits - 1
Based on the first 1.30 minutes of the 9th April 2014 episode

"Didn't you declare in front of the whole world that you will marry this girl ? " the officer had asked him in front of all his colleagues and Singh Sir.
" That was for her own security " he had replied.
At least that is a good excuse

"Rudra Pratap Ranawat, didn't you take part with this girl in all the pre wedding rituals ? Which held no signifance for you ? " the officer's anger was growing leaps and bounds.
"Sirf Mere Liye Nahin. For her also. She knew very well ..." Rudra was not allowed to complete the sentence anyway
The rituals we went through. And they were not a lie. Not only for me. But for her also

"What happened was part of the mission." Rudra replied with a straightface.
As far as everybody else is concerned. Not for me and her

" Mission has ended a few weeks back. Then this episode with the girl also should have ended with the mission. " the officer's reasoning was not faulty
Yes it should have. I would have tied the mangalsutra. Only if she had not ran away. Only if she had not hit me in the head and vanished.

"Yes I had ended it then itself " Rudra answered it with a partial truth.
Rudra's was exported back to that day when like a fool he had gone behind her in a foolish hope that he can still get her back. He had driven like a mad man for a long distance. When he was about to give up hope he saw the butterfly Kangan of Paro. Just like Paro's Rukmini it had given him hope. But alas he could not pursue her further. He had to rush back to his critically injured father. A father who was trapped in fire. Supposedly by his love. By his Paro. There was no way he believed it anyway.

"If it had ended then what was the tamasha which happened in the felicitation ceremony the other day ?"
Did the officer had to remind Rudra about the same ?
" After that fiasco she is till in your house. Why ?"
"Sir, I did not call her into the haveli. She came all by herself. I had actually ..." Again Rudra was not allowed to complete the lie.
Thankfully. If he had wanted her out of his life he would not have looked at her with such love and tenderness when she explained why she threw the doll at him. He would not have thrown the sindoor in such a fashion that it fell on her maang. Yeah if anybody had any doubts about his aiming skills they can think again. He had aimed it at her maang. There was no doubt. By doing so he was sure she will be back. He had deliberately not rejected her proposal. Nor did he accept it verbally. He did the best he does always. Show in actions and not through words. He filled her maang in anger. And made sure she came to the haveli - back to him. To be with him.
At least that was a relief. That she came on her own. But he is not going to forgive her for ditching him at the altar as the saying goes.

RR Tidbits - 2
This was from 1:30 minutes to 3:30 minutes of the same video

"Didn't you ask her to stand outside in the rain ? Haan Ya Naa ?" the officer asked to the point
"Ji Sir" Rudra murmured.
What more can one say to an objective type question ? Maybe the officer's child was preparing for CAT

Singh Sir showed him the photo of Paro in the newspaper.
"Lekin Woh. I had told her something else. And she understood something else. It was not about this" Rudra tried to explain.
His eyes were fixed on Paro's image. Bhavali Kahin Ki. How can somebody be so stupid to stand in the rain ? That too on one leg ?

"Who will make those media people understand ? Those who are slinging mud on you and BSD ? " Singh Sir was equally relentless.
"But Sir ..." His thoughts were still on Paro
To prove the point that she loves him. Yeah right. She has no clue what love is. How much love means to him ? Love for Paro was in his each breath now. He may not have agreed to it. He will still not agree to it.

"You understand very well that BSD is considered as enemy in this region. From morning I am getting phone calls. Whom all should I answer ? "
And he will not forgive her for a long time to come for hitting him and going away with her father figure. Was it love she felt then ? She thinks she can prove his love so easily. No way. It takes more than that to convince Rudra. Rudra who hates women. Particularly beautiful ones.

"And most of them believe that BSD is not a place for officers like you" That got Rudra's attention finally.
"Kya Sir ?" Rudra looked dazed. Trying to focus on Singh Sir's words now.
"Rudra , till you solve this problem or get rid of the problem you cannot be kept on duty in BSD. And I agree with it too" Singh Sir who knew how dedicated Rudra was agreed with those guys ? And he is asking the great Rudra to go away from duty ?
"You can go now Major" the officer was back in the picture.
"Sir, what is the picture is not the complete truth. The truth is something else. And I can explain"
Rudra was now lost. His mind stopped talking about Paro. He could feel a tremor running up his spine.

"Rudra, I know you did not do it wantedly. But from your house , maybe the same girl, or whoever sent this photo to the press - based on the photo we are forced to take action. You can go now."
Singh Sir has taken the decision. Without even consulting him. He felt devastated. For once in the last so many weeks - his mind thought only about BSD. Paro who occupied his thoughts in an equal proportion all these days was forgotten.

"Par Sir ..."(Aman...said)
Rudra raised his hand and stopped him. He did not wanted to protest. He wanted to just leave - immediately. Because he knew what will follow if he stayed. But the next words proved him wrong. He had stayed one second extra. Anything can happen in a second. He should have known that.

"Rudra Pratap Ranawat - leave your badge , medal, gun and belt here. This is till the whole problem is solved. "
Rudra was looking at Singh Sir. But could not see him. His eyes were clouded with tears. He had been betrayed by his own years back. The only thing he held onto was BSD. He had worked day and night to win those medals. It was hard work with passion which helped him achieve it. And just like that they are taken away. He felt like a homeless person once again...

RR Tidbits - 3
Covering from 3:30 minutes till 5:30 minutes of the same video

Amandeep was asked to get all the belongings from Rudra.
Rudra felt as if his whole body was frozen.
Frozen with fear.
The only fear this courageous officer was aware of.
The fear of losing what he loves the most.
Once upon a time he loved his mother the most.
She left him on her own.
The BSD job is the second thing he loved in his life.
And that is being taken away from him.
Even in that frozen state his body went through the habitual act.
An act of obeying his seniors.

His hands placed the cap on the desk.
And there she was - letting go of her free flowing hair.

His head was free of the cap and hers was rid of the clip.
The similarity ended there

She adorned the jewels.
His medals were removed.

She wore the beautiful bridal dress.
His most beautiful dress, his uniform, was removed.

She decorated her arms with the bangles.
His belt , the decoration piece of his body was removed.

She wore the necklace which made her look empowered.
His pistol was taken away leaving him with no power.

She smiled at her glowing reflection in the mirror.
He cried looking at his own listless image in General's eyes.

She felt elated thinking how beautiful she looked dressed up.
He felt depressed thinking how ugly he looked devoid of the uniform.

RR Tidbits - 4
Covering from 5:30 minutes till 6:36 minutes of the same video

There was nothing more for him to do at the BSD office.
Medals removed. Check
Badge removed. Check
Belt with gun removed. Check
Cap removed. Check
Pride removed. Check
Love of life removed. Check
The last bit of trust in God - removed. Check

He rushed out of the office. And did something which he seldom does.  Started drinking alone. Oh, he had grown up seeing his father drinking and blabbering every night. Alone. He had decided never to repeat that. Once you start drinking alone - there is no limit. No time. No control. It goes on and on. Rudra had been taking drinks almost every night for years now. But he always made sure he had company. That ensured that he stayed within limits. He knew he had no control on his tongue once he started drinking. And the presence of company made him alert. Alert to the amount of the brown liquid which he gulped down.

But today was a special day. The worst day of his adulthood. He can have this luxury of drinking alone. Right ? Flashes of Paro passed in front of his eyes. Her proposal, her challenge that neither can he let her go nor will she go away from him. Her agreeing to stand on one leg to prove her love. And her proving her love - standing in the rain. And then came the words of Singh Sir. How Rudra has to set right the wrong.

Wrong indeed. He had never been so shocked and surprised in his life. Though it was Paro who talked about destiny in front of 300 people, it was Rudra who came face to face with his destiny. The girl whom he had carried in his heart for years. The girl who gave away her doll to him. The only act of kindness he had witnessed all these years. That girl was Paro. And she was standing there explaining why she gave the doll to him. If only she had asked him he would have replied. It is his Bhagya that she gave him the doll. The doll which held his broken pieces of heart together. The doll which was the balm to the wound is his heart - for all these years. He extended his hand to touch her. To hug her. And then realized that they had an audience. A big one at that. With cameras and video. Bewakoof Ladki. Why couldn't she come to him when he was alone and explained this ? She could have waited for just five more minutes. And their lives would have been so different.  But no. She had to propose in front of everybody.

Rudra pulled his thoughts back and tried to concentrate at the moment. He had only taken a couple of sips of whisky. It was high time he stopped drinking. And started thinking of the next steps. And for his brain to work he had to get rid of the liquid in hand. What better way other than pour it over himself...And he did just that. Watched the alcohol wet and burn his moustache, his lips, his chain and his favorite jacket.

Rudra believed that innocent girl in the bus. But not this beautiful girl Paro. He could not believe that Paro is ready to go till the end of the earth with him. That she is ready to do any penance for him. How can a person who hated him, who admired his enemy, for years suddenly change her stance ? Can love happen in a day ? She never mentioned the doll or the boy before the felicitation ceremony. He was sure she never remembered the boy after that day. Even when he held out the Kumkum to her and said , " Shaadi Karni Hai " first time she did not say yes. He had deliberately left out Sumer's name. But her eyes did not light up with happiness. Or love for that matter.  Didn't she have the same expression when he repeated it after a minute and added "Sumer Se" Which means she had no feelings. No passion, no madness, no nothing. From the minute Rudra had met Paro in that jeep he had fallen for her. In all respects. His eyes had reflected the pain he felt when he came to know that she is going to be married. Yes he did love that innocent girl. But even before knowing that Paro is the same - he had fallen in love. He is not a man of words. But hadn't he shown his love through his actions ? By protecting her always ? By holding her every time she fell ? By running to her to wash away the poison on the Haldi day ? While searching for her on the Sangeet day like a mad man when she was away for five minutes ?  Wasn't he the one who took care of her foot when she got hurt ? Didn't he take care of her with so much tenderness ? Hasn't he looked at her eyes with all the love in the world ? Touched her many times to intimidate her only to lose himself in her eyes and beauty ? Hasn't he shown all the colors of love to Paro ? Hasn't he already been her Rangrasiya ?

And has she ever responded in that same manner? No. Maybe once or twice but she was never attracted to him the way he was to her. She never talked about love till the ceremony day. And now all she can say is about respect and destiny. Will she decide that her destiny has changed if she gets some other sign from her Bholenath ? How can he believe that she will not leave him and go away a few months down the lane ? If she does what will happen to him? And his poor heart which has already suffered enough. Paro through her act of kindness in the bus helped him to stay sane in the aftermath of his mother's treachery. If Paro leaves him tomorrow who will take care of him?
He has to protect himself and his heart. He has to shield himself from the possible future pain.

He took a deep breath. And looked at his options. There was only one solution to this whole mess. That he get married to Paro. Then he will get what he always wanted. To be with Paro till death do them apart. She will get what she said she wanted - though Rudra was not completely convinced about the same. And BSD will get what they want. Pride restored. Yes he has to get married to her. And he has to do it in such a way that others will think he is doing out of hatred. Paro herself has to believe that he is marrying her out of anger. That way he can still keep his heart from further agony. And he can also find out to what length she is ready to go. She has said she is ready to do any penance to be with him. To convince him. He will try his best to break her. And then if she leaves - he will accept that she was not meant to be with him anyway.

And if she stays
- and she did ask how can a wife leave her husband's house didn't she ? -
he will be sure that he can trust her to be his soul mate.

That she will never leave him. Not after 15 years. Not after 50 years. And hoping that you do not break and hoping that you will never leave me - here I come Paro.
He loves her madly. He trusts his love for her is the one. But he does not have enough trust in her love.
She says she loves him. She says she trusts her Bhagya. She says she is ready to do anything.
Both of them need to go through this test.
Parooo Here I come...

"Dark Side"
Oh Oh Oh, there's a place that I know
It's not pretty there and few have ever gone
If I show it to you now
Will it make you run away?

Or will you stay
Even if it hurts
Even if I try to push you out
Will you return?
And remind me who I really am
Please remind me who I really am

Everybody's got a dark side
Do you love me?
Can you love mine?
Nobody's a picture perfect
But we're worth it
You know that we're worth it
Will you love me?
Even with my dark side?

  6. Wonderful JJ,

A thinking and manipulative Rudra and that too manipulating for his love was quite fun reading and out-of-the-box concept.

And Rudra is not only a man of actions but talks too (mind talks). Thanks to you now we are privy to what goes in his mind.

    1. Rudra was and is manipulative. He was and is smart. He knew Paro is the one the moment he set eyes on her. Back in the bus. And later in front of the abusers. He would never have let her go. No chance.

Glad you like it Reshma. No apt quotes for Rudra ?

Lo main aa gayiii!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I ran and ran and reached the LT !!! Sorry to have kept you waiting..I am a bit slow these days.

Oh ! dear JJ...how did you get this idea to show to us what could have gone inside Rudra's mind?WOW !
Somehow I had always felt, he was a BSD officer ...sharp and clever and conniving in his work field mostly...otherwise he was a brutally honest person...you know calling "a spade ..spade only.
But then I always felt was it so easy for him to ask Paro to go away from him so easily like he used to say again and again... all his actions spoke something else. I so wanted Paro to go awayf or a while or say Yes to Sumer for marriage and then we would have seen someone burning in his self lit fire!! LOL

I mean I too think he anticipated all that happened between him and Paro ...your SS is on the lines that he orchestrated it !!! Shocked I did not think on these lines.

I am so loving this... it is going to be a fun ride..I always said you are quite witty and your SS baseline proves that I was not wrong.. Wink

Exploring the mind of Major RPR ...aha !! sounds uber cool to me...

    thank you honey !

The first thought of Rudra depicts his sense of humor. Rudra always had a strong sense of humor. We could see it in his one liners to Aman or Kakisa.

Well Paro stood on one leg for his forgiveness only. Paro never once said she loves him nor her actions showed it. So why does he thinks that she loves him. Also why did he thought that Paro's love is way below his love. The love which he will neither agree to nor accept. How can he call that a greater love.

The moment he realized the danger to his BSD job, all his attention shifted from Paro to BSD.

Most of Rudra's actions are in relfex and in haste. You depicting his thought process and emotions may help in reasoning out his actions. Loving it.

Well JJ I am not reviewing this Tidbits. Most of the things I have written out are my thought process. SO when I ask questions these are not directed to you or towards your writings.

I am loving how you are showing us what's going on in the mind of a man who is of few words and more actions.

"Your emotions trouble you only in those things which you call yours"

    1. Reshma, whether you are reviewing or it is just your thoughts - it is nice to discuss. Will bring in finally a better understanding of what was in Rudra's mind LOL So please keep them coming.

To be honest I got confused. I thought Paro stood on one leg to prove her love. I think I have to watch the older episodes. But no time Reshma.

When she proposed didn't she mention that they are meant to be. Doesn't she mention that she loves him ? OR did she only mention it much later ? Do you remember when ?

My view is that Rudra loved Paro dearly. From the first time he set eyes on her in the desert. Maybe he himself did not know it. Did not accept it. And would never have accepted her love too till the railway track incident. Probably that is when he realized what her leaving means to him. And that she left him because she promised to give up what she loved most. My take is that is when he accepted - not only his love but also that her love is as strong as his. He had great trust issues. And the railway track is when he really started trusting Paro. For Rudra love is synonymous with trust. My view again. Would love to hear from you

The quote you have given above I was planning to use in the next Tidbit. I heard something similar is a Blue BLoods episode I saw yesterday. And I thought that will fit Rudra's state of mind perfectly LOL

      Delete
    2. As far as I remember Paro wanted Rudra's forgiveness. Love and marriage were not even on her mind. She was ready to anything for his forgiveness, that's when Rudra asked her to marry Sumer if she wants his forgiveness. Paro asked Bholenath for a sign which she got in through the doll connection. And she joined the bits and realized that she and Rudra were destined together.

No she didn't mention she loved him, she only said they were destined together and were like Shiv Parvati.

Yes completely agree with you, Rudra loved her at the first sight. And only the thought of losing her made him come out of his shell. For the first time Rudra had someone to call his own, time and again he said that his world begin and ended with Paro. And like him I am too sad that same was not the case with Paro.

Till today I am still confused about Paro's love. Her love was more of a spiritual and sacrificial kind . For her Rudra was destined to be her husband and the way she loved him was the way a wife loves a husband.

For me Rudra's love for Paro was more greater because it was way above any relationship. It was the mad kind of love. A love where a lover fought against the world but the thought of letting go would never cross his mind.

Reshma and JJ I am poking my nose here
      I got confused here
As Reshma mentioned that Paro stood in one leg for Rudra's forgiveness
Becos as far as I remember its to prove her love
So I went back and checked the Episode
      Its to Prove her love
That BSD confession is before this scene
Remember when Paro faints on Rudra's shoulders
      drenched in rain
She just blurts out that "do u trust my love now"
The next scene to this is where Rudra is suspended due to Paro's pic in rain

      Delete
    4. This is just an open discussion Mano. Thanks for joining in. I also thought Paro had stood in the rain for proving her love. Then when Reshma mentioned otherwise I thought maybe I forgot about the sequence of events.

In any case I remember Parud having a discussion after the proposal about love. About what type of love.In his office. I was not sure whether the standing in rain was before the proposal or after. And whether it was for love or for forgiveness.

Maybe Reshma is right. Paro stood in rain to get his forgiveness. Then he brought her in when she fainted. Later he went to the ceremony. And she found the doll and then went and proposed.

    5. Mano/multimedia(imported from IF)Monday 26 January 2015 at 22:52:00 GMT-8

ok... let me list the scene in order
Rudra asks Paro to marry Sumeer
      Paro finds the doll
Paro wants Rudra to marry her (award ceremony)
later confesses her love at BSD office
Paro shocks Rudra with her maang sindoor at haveli
      Rudra throws Paro out
      Mohini brings Paro in
      Rudra furious
Paro covers her face for Rudra
      Rudra throws Paro out again
Paro stubborn on Proving her love(stands in one leg)
      Bapusa recovers
      Rudra carries semi-conscious Paro
Sumeer sends Photo of drenched Paro to Newspaper
      Rudra called to BSD headquarters
      Rudra suspended
Furious Rudra returns in drunk state and marries Paro

I am sure of this order

      Delete
    6. JJ and Mano, very sorry for the confusion and chaos I created. Mano is absolutely right about the sequence. I just jumbled up all the scenes. Blame my not very sharp memory.

YES Paro stood on one leg to prove her love. I just watched those 2-3 episodes again. Really sorry for the confusion.

I take back all my nonsense theory. The only thing I stand firm to is Rudra's love was greater than Paro's love.

Wow..Finally got time for your tidbits..What a total contrast you have provided with your earlier titbitWink..It was sarcastic and heartfelt ..I actually loved yours and Reshma's conversation and since I know the sequence by heart, was about to comment and saw Dr.RR..Phd already done the jobLOLLOL..Great job Mano..

Reshma, the biggest flaw in RR is totally ignoring Paro's thoughts and feelings which the viewers were always left to vision on their own most of the time..No wonder Paro's love was so confusing as it was turned and twisted and was compromised as per TRP convenience.. Had they given that importance, we would have got cracker of episodes..

Remember the epic double side Mirror scene in BSD where both where crying about their fate..thats original RR where both ML and FLs feelings were spot on..thats why we were able to connect to both of them for the first 3 months..

Well after all this screw up , if we are still craving for RR its just because of the fabulous RR star cast and our adorable SANISH who made PARUD a wonder couple among all the c***ches..

Nice update JJ. The scene where Rudra was stripped of his medals and badges was painful. And the way they contrasted it with Paro choosing to be his bride and adorning herself with his mother's finery was so impactful. Loved how you have penned this down, whatever mattered to him most was taken away so brutally. Makes you feel that he was the most tragic hero in soapload.

    Nice update JJ.

The way you brought out the parallels in Rudra and paro situation beautiful.

One thing you mentioned confused me.

You said he loved his mother the most. His second love was his BSD job. So you want to say Paro is his third love. So Paro is third fiddle to his mother and BSD job.

I don't know, but I don't like the sound of it. that is to hear Paro is at the bottom of his love list.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Well Reshma that is the order in which it happened Big smile
He loved his mother. She left and with that she was removed out of his mind too. First in first out. FIFO - well sorry for the techno word.

He loved his job. He was about to lose it.

BSD which was his sole purpose in life (before he met Paro).
And then came Paro. Though literally she entered just after Mala left.

I don't think we can compare or equate BSD and Paro. Both were/are important to Rudra. Looking forward to hear your views.

      Delete
    2. Oh JJ, I forgot to post a quote.

Here's one for the helplessness that Rudra was facing.

"Losing his job was like his having his identity stolen, like having what defined him run through a paper shredder. After a while the despair got him and it got him real good"

      -- Eric Jeromy Dickey

Though the quote says it got him good, I take here it in a positive way. Rudra married Paro in despair and anger, it finally turned out good for him. As said very often, something drastic was always needed to bring them together. If it was the fear of him losing the job, then so be it.

    3. Perfect quote. Rudra was driven to the wall indeed.

Not painful, like difficult for me to understand. I try to explain..

I am not artistic at all. I don't know how to draw, I can't write as you and I can't edit pics like Mano.

When it comes to arts - I suck. Let's face the fact.

You are artistic and talented; I can see it in everything you do.

Whereas I am very practical. Everything has to be organized and clearly presented. If I don't understand details it bothers me. Can't help it.

When it comes to these tidbits I made it too difficult to myself to watch & read:

First, I looked at the video then I read the first part of which were written by you.

I was like unbelievable - well written, you described Rudra's feeling so good.

But then I started to wonder what they really spoke during the clip. I don't understand Hindi, so I started to wonder what they spoke about...that annoys me the most; I don't understand the spoken language.

So I watched the clip again and read your written part again. Then I printed your text and read it at the same time when I watched the clip... don't know how many times I did that..

Then I began to think about the part from a new perspective; and it took some time before I realized it. Then I started to wonder how well you write that part; great interpretation. Then I started wonder how come I didn't think it...

You see.. I make things hard to myself...

For me it is easier to read your updates - I can imagine the whole update when reading. With these tidbits I have to try to combine the clip I see and what you write - and that seems to be hard to me.

I don't know even myself what I try to sayOuch...Does this make any sense?

Then I thought why not start writing. So I started writing my posts in Diya's takes of episodes of RR.

But when they killed Paro I was part of the Hope and Faith thread explaining why Myrah is Paro. But CVs let me down. So thought I will write my own story

Bottom line is everybody who is logical can turn to writing. It is just that you have to start writing longer statements Big smile

Of course there are some very gifted writers. Who are naturally talented. Not like meLOL

I understood what you are trying to say. I have captured the actual dialogues in normal font and my interpretation in Italics in Tidbits1,2 and 3. In Tidbits 4 there is no dialogue. It is all my interpretation.

So even if you do not have subtitles you can refer to my post itself to see the real dialogues.

Thanks for taking time to explain. And I feel honored that you took the print out of my post. And read it multiple times. Mira...you are so nice. Thanks a lot.

I am a voracious reader. At least was till very recently. Of short stories, novels, reviews, newsletters,... anything and everything. And always amazed at other takes on certain situations. Because every person thinks different. And that is the beauty - right ?

JJ - only one word for this tidbits PERFECT.

I read it thrice. And everytime it touched my heart. I felt Rudra's fears and his pain too.

You have reflected everything that Rudra felt and what I expected him to feel so perfectly.

For Rudra this was a second setback. Something he called his own and he loved dearly taken away from him. Naturally he feared it to happen the third time too.

His reluctance to accept his love for Paro stemmed from his fear of her rejection. To say the truth even I couldn't trust Paro love. She accepted Rudra as her fate mate when she got the doll sign. Like Rudra she never felt the attraction or the connection for that matter.

I am not saying Paro didn't love him and neither that her love was any less but Paro loved him as a husband and not as a lover. Maybe her beliefs and values were responsible for this.

As for Rudra, he never followed values, he followed his heart. Rudra loved Paro in entirety. His life began and ended with her. Rest things did even matter or came later.

For Paro sadly the order was not the same. For her, it was bholenath first, then perhaps family and then Rudra. Even in the show I felt so or atleast they projected it so.

Rudra married Paro for testing her. But she surely could have passed. Marriage for her was a sacred institution, which she considered as her destiny and one from which she would have never backed off.

You mentioned test for both of them. What test was it for Rudra?

I moreso feel that to really test Paro's love for Rudra, a separation was needed. Making her marry Rudra was more like bounding her permanently to him with or without love.

The universal quote below for true love

"If you really love something, set it free, If it comes back it's yours, If it doesn't it was never meant to be.."
    Paro's love
"This kind of love is measured by what it can do. Love is meant to heal. Love is meant to renew. Love is meant to bring us closer to God"

    Rudra's love
"I don't need a PERFECT ONE, I just need someone who can make me feel I am the ONLY ONE"

    1. To get a PERFECT from you is like winning a race with no preset goal. I have been running for 28 rounds now. 25 rounds of the outer ground and 3 rounds of the inner ground. And in the fourth inner round I get the PERECT. Do you have any idea how much effort this takes ? LOL

We are in sync about Rudra's love and Paro's love. Paro might not have left him because of his tests. She would have left him the way she did. To keep a promise or to protect his life. And he would have misunderstood her and turned into Jallad. Real Jallad this time. Indifferent to her. Hating her. And I wanted her to realise passionate love born out of the distance. And then she would have broken every time her said or did something. That would have been fun. You know...

Am so glad you read it thrice. And that my writing touched your heart.

About the test for Rudra. In my view it was a test for him also. To test the point where he will acknowledge that Paro will not leave. Because he can keep testing her and she can keep passing the tests. But he is the one who has to stop the tests. And that is his test. Am I making sense ? Hope so

Nice quotes for Parud's love. It fit them correctly.

Woww! So Rudra did the whole hate marriage thing just to test Paro?
That's a unique and interesting takeThumbs Up
I have to admit I find it a little difficult to comprehend that Rudra would not be upset with Paro after his uniform and job was stripped from him...

So he was not blinded by rage and drunkenness, just his love for Paro

On RR Tidbits - till 4

    Excellent write up JJ.
    Emotional check points.Ouch
Because you are doubtful of his nights you made Laila his drinking partner? LOL
The paragraph about doll and his pain is heart touching.

"Why couldn't she come to him when he was alone and explained this ?
She could have waited for just five more minutes.
And their lives would have been so different.
But no. She had to propose in front of everybody. "

These lines made me think other way:
Why he walked like he's waiting for her to come to the ceremony?
Why he walked towards her as he is reaching his soul? He can surely take her
away from the crowd as soon as he saw her right? or
He can take her away as soon as she showed the doll as it was more
personal matter..She's bewakoof but he's not ( according to him).

As a major he should be knowing how to handle the crowd and excuse themselves
to talk in private which might have avoided the whole fiasco but he did not.
He was in a trance seeing her there and in all that destiny talks... because his heart longing for her... he just don't want to agree in the fear of loosing.

He married her because he don't want to leave her ... I agree
totally, he knows if he marries her she's never going to leave... he may not trust her love but he trusts her beliefs.Embarrassed

"Both of them need to go through this test"... Perfect lineClap

PS: JJ real life is taking more of my fun time on IF so the times when I can't comment I'll just press like but I'll be keep on checking and wait for your updates.
    Take care

    Hey Jackal!
Finally found some time to come here. Read your tidbit. You finally gave thoughts to Rudra's actions that led to those infamous pheres and drunk wedding. I loved how you brought out rudras state of mind then. It helped me relate to him better. How helpless and vulnerable he seemed ..all shattered for the second time. This is what I missed most in RR the real show. They should have thrown more light on the thoughts of rudra and Paro ...with them talking to themselves or ..don't know what they are called ..monologues or something ...something that would help the viewers understand the characters better and understand what made them do or act in certain way...half the time we were left to wonder to ourselves and make our own conclusions ...although that was fun too..
Thats why I simply love your writing. You are doing this awesome job of giving us the RR and the Parud that we always hoped to seeing tv. Your RR brings alive rudra and Paro and the other characters come alive ...almost like real.
    Thanks again jackal.

Ps: i know I don't comment much but please don't thnk I don't appreciate your efforts.. You have one big fan in me...it's just I am not good at handling many things at a time.. Which is why I am most of the time running here n there...running out of of time and deadlines.Cry But well that's just how I am LOL And believe me it's only going to get worse soon with my in laws landing in a few days. But I promise I will try to come more often...you have my word.
